General Information

Accessibility

All buses are equipped with passenger lifts for mobility devices and meets the ADA requirements. Lifts can only accommodate passengers and mobility devices that do not exceed 600 pounds combined or the size of a standard wheelchair. We recommend that all mobility devices have a working brake system. Not all bus stops are safe for deployment of the lift. If you have question about accessibility of a particular stop, please call.

As a courtesy to riders with mobility limitations, priority seating has been designated at the front of each bus. Your cooperation in yielding these seats to mobility-limited riders, the seniors and persons with disabilities is appreciated.

The bus operator will assist seniors and person with disabilities on boarding the bus or provide assistance to the door of the person’s home, upon request.

ADA Paratransit

Priority service for ADA certified paratransit passengers is available for those passengers that have a disability who cannot access or board a public transit bus due to their disability. In order to use this service you will need to fill out a Rio Vista Delta Breeze Paratransit Eligibility Application. Once you have been certified, you may ride request Rio Vista Delta Breeze routes to deviate from your origin point to your destination point within the city limits of Isleton, Rio Vista, Antioch, Fairfield, Suisun City and within a ¾ mile boundary of the route in unincorporated Sacramento, Contra Costa and Solano Counties. Transfers to Vallejo Runabout, Fairfield and Susiun Transit DART, Tri Delta Transit Dial-A-Ride paratransit providers are available. Bicycles

Bicycles are allowed on board all Rio Vista Delta Breeze buses. Two bicycles can be stored on the front rack. If the rack is full, the bicycle may be brought inside in the bus at the bus operator’s discretion. Riders are responsible for loading and unloading their own bicycles. River News Herald and Isleton Journal are sold on board all Rio Vista Delta Breeze buses for 50 cents.

SafePlace

SafePlace

Rio Vista Delta Breeze buses are “Safe Places”. If you are between the ages of 12 and 17 years old and you are in danger, please board a Rio Vista Delta Breeze bus and ask that you need a Safe Place. Our bus operator will help you obtain assistance from the Northern California Family Center.

Lost and Found

Lost and Found Should you lose an item on board a Rio Vista Delta Breeze bus, please call us at (707) 374-2878. Items are held for up to 30 days before being donated to a local charity. The City and its contractors are not responsible for lost or stolen items. If you lose an item on Vista Cab, please call (707) 374-6572.

Mobility Training

We can teach you how to ride the bus. You will learn how to read a bus schedule, board at a bus stop and utilize features that are on board a bus. Participants will receive a free 10-Ride InterCityPass through participating in this program. Call (707) 374-5337 for more details. Emergency Ride Home.

Emergency Ride Home

Solano Napa Commuter Information, a program of the Solano Transportation Authority provides an emergency ride home program to registered workers who use transit to get to work. To participate, you must live in Solano County and register with Solano Napa Commuter Information by calling 1-800-53KMUTE (800) 535-6883 or visit www.solanolinks.com. For those that work in Contra Costa County may contact 511 Contra Costa at (925) 969-0841 or visit www.511contracosta.org.

New Riders to Eastern Contra Costa County Can Take Advantage of A Two For One Promotion with 511 Contra Costa

If you purchase one $85 Intercity Monthly Pass at regular price, can receive the second month free.

Route 52 takes commuters between Rio Vista and Isleton to Antioch or the Pittsburg/Bay Point BART Station. For San Francisco-bound commuters, avoid those new bridge toll hikes on the Antioch and Bay Bridges by taking Route 52 to the Pittsburg/Bay Point BART Station and continuing your commute on BART.

Rio Vista Delta Breeze also offers additional transit services within Rio Vista. These programs include the following:

Rio Vista Delta Breeze Taxi Scrip Program - The program provides economically priced, door-to-door transportation service exclusively to all seniors (age 55 years old or older), persons with disabilities and Medicare Cardholders that are Rio Vista residents. Service is provided 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to and from any point within the Cities of Rio Vista and Isleton or to regional destinations. Taxi Scrip is available for $5.00 and you will receive $10.00 worth of taxi trips. Only a limited number of taxi scrip books are available per month and year and they can be purchase from the City of Rio Vista Finance Department, located at One Main Street in Rio Vista. Solano County Intercity Taxi Scrip Program

The Solano County Intercity Taxi Scrip Program is a flexible option for qualified ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) paratransit certified riders. This service provides curb-to-curb, same day transportation for ADA Paratransit Certified riders who need to travel between cities within Solano County.

To be eligible, you must be:

The Intercity Taxi Scrip program is in addition to paratransit services available by public transit providers throughout Solano County. This program is not available for trips between Fairfield and Suisun City.

ADA certified passengers living within Solano County may purchase the new taxi scrip booklet for $15.00. The booklet is valued at $100.00. To buy the scrip and use this new service you will need to obtain an ADA Photo ID card from Rio Vista Delta Breeze as long as you are certified ADA. Intercity taxi scrips will be available for sale at the Suisun/Fairfield Amtrak Station, 177 Main Street, Suisun City, CA 94585 and Rio Vista City Hall, 1 Main Street, Rio Vista, CA 94571.
